Either way, welcome aboard!
We know this year can be a stressful one and that Cambridge applications can seem very complicated. You also still have everything else to be getting on with such as actually ensuring you get those grades and trying to fit in some background reading!
We're therefore experimenting with this blog as a way of letting you ask questions which may be relevant to other applicants and as a way of giving you a bit of extra help. We also want to reassure you that Cambridge is not a 'closed shop' and that we want to give everyone the best possible chance of competing on a level playing field.
We'll try and let you know which subject's interview letters have gone out, why interview dates are finalised when they are, what previous applicants recommend doing before interviews etc. Previous applcants have told us that they would have found this useful - let us know if it really is!
Comments won't automatically appear, mostly because we want to avoid people posting who are applying to other Colleges (we all have slightly different systems so this wouldn't be productive) but we'll take note of every comment and will try and make sure posts reflect what people are asking. We'll also put posts up if the same question comes through a lot about a particular issue in the e-mail.

this is a great idea and will be very useful! I was wondering if we have to put all of our topics covered on the SAQ or just 3 or 4, as I could form quite a long list if all are required. I just wanted to make sure!

As a parent who knows next to nothing about Oxbridge entrance in any form, your blog over the last 8 weeks has been very helpful to us as well as to our applicant child. Thank you !
