Just for Malaysian, Hong Kong, Chinese and Singaporean applicants

This is a special message for those of you in the above countries who applied on time and who arranged to have an interview in your own country.

Once you've had an interview in one of these countries, you don't need to come to Cambridge for a second interview (phew!).

This is how we assess you:

1. Your interview report form is sent to the College. We put it in your file.
2. You send us any written work or paperwork we asked for, creating a complete file.
3. When the main set of interviews happen in Cambridge, in December, your file is sent to the interviewing team here, alongside those of all the applicants interviewing in Cambridge.
4. When the interviews are over, the interviewing team at the College (not the guys who saw you in your country) decide whether to take you or not at the same time as they decide on everyone else.

This is why I've asked for work in some cases "for your interviewers" even though you've maybe already had an interview. It's for the Cambridge-based interviewing team.

I do hope this clears things up. I know that some of you have elected to come and interview in Cambridge and that's fine too. Neither choice will affect your chances of getting in.
