Dear Fresher: Congratulations! Very well done for making your offer and welcome to Cambridge!
On behalf of CUCCS, I would like to extend our warmest welcome to you. CUCCS is a lively and energetic society mainly comprised of mainland Chinese undergraduates at Cambridge. Currently we have over 400 members from across the year group. CCS strives to serve as a home and a stage for our members to showcase and develop their talents.
Upon your arrival in Cambridge, you will be able to find us at the Fresher's Fair, and throughout the year, we will be hosting exciting events for example, fresher's squash, annual talent show "Scintillate – 星光灿烂", and an annual play (previous productions include “雷雨”，“梁祝”，“暗恋桃花源”，“立秋”，“槐花街”etc), with many social and sporting events in between for you to explore, such as formal halls, paintballing trip, "family outings" and basketball sessions. This year, there will be some new events such as 非诚勿扰，三国杀大赛 which will definitely be amazing. We also provide a platform for you to express your thoughts and feelings through our termly Chinese magazine “言吾言”.
BUT, before you arrive and get totally overwhelmed by your exciting Cambridge life, we would like to warmly invite you to our summer welcome party to be held in 北京，上海，深圳. They are promised to be an afternoon of great fun, joyous company and a lot more. It will be the perfect opportunity for you to come and mingle with our current members, to get to know more about CCS, Cambridge and the uni life in general, and of course, the other Freshers who will be sharing countless memories with you in the next three or four (or many more) years.
