Important - Dates and Deadlines

Hi all,

A few deadlines are coming up for offer-holders, so we just wanted to highlight them now before it's too late! They're listed in chronological order, and some of these won't apply to you, but please read all of the below and DON'T leave it until the last minute because some of the forms can be quite complicated or require input from a parent or teacher. Your offer pack should have already informed you of the things detailed below, so this is just a reminder of the deadlines coming up...

Cambridge Overseas Trusts
If you are eligible for this (only available for Overseas students) then you will have received an application form in your offer letter, as well as via email. If you would like to apply for this, please submit your application form to admissions@pet.cam.ac.uk by Friday 14th February.

Choral Awards
If you are interested in applying for a Choral Award, the deadline is Saturday 15th February and more information (including an application form) can be found here: www.study.cam.ac.uk/undergraduate/apply/musicawards/choral.html

Visa
If you live outside the EU/EEA then you may need a visa in order to come and study in Cambridge. If this applies to you, please email admissions@pet.cam.ac.uk to let me know by Friday 21st February. More info can be found here: www.cam.ac.uk/international-students/arriving/uk-immigration

Instrumental Awards
If you are interested in applying for an Instrumental Award, the deadline is Friday 28th February, and more information (including an application form) can be found here: http://www.study.cam.ac.uk/undergraduate/apply/musicawards/instrumental.html

EU Bursary
If you are eligible for this and would like to apply, please do so by Friday 14th March, following the instructions here: www.admin.cam.ac.uk/univ/cambridgebursary/eu/apply/.

Financial Guarantees
Overseas students must submit a completed FG including supporting documents by Friday 18th April. Home students must do so by Friday 9th May. Remember that Home students must include a copy of the letter from Student Finance confirming that their application has been successful (we don’t need you to send us your application, just the confirmation). If this doesn’t arrive by the deadline, you should still submit your FG, including a letter stating that your Student Finance document will follow.

Certificates

In your offer letter you were asked to provide us with certificates of every qualification declared on your UCAS application. If you have a Conditional Offer, please send us copies of your GCSE certificates (or equivalent). If you have an Unconditional Offer, please send (by recorded delivery) your original A level certificates (or equivalent) - we will return these to you once we have checked them. The deadline for all certificates is Friday 9th May.

Accommodation

(Not really a deadline but something to be aware of) - Carrie will be in touch in mid-July with details on accommodation. Please make sure you have access to your email (even if you’re on holiday) at that time so that you can observe her deadlines.
